Biography

Professor Charles Anosike was Director, Applied Meteorological Services. The Directorate of Applied Meteorological Services – DAMS is charged with the responsibility of providing tailored weather and climate information services and products (Agromet, Hydromet, Marine Met, Climate Services, and Database management) to promote weather-related hazards as well as provide early warning services to help mitigate extreme weather events and ensure effective decision making for sustainable economic development in Nigeria.

With over 25 years of collective experience in the private sector and academia and a proven knack for systems thinking, sustainability, and leadership development, Anosike exhibits expertise in the creation of organizational culture/structure and strategic direction to propel efficient and effective service delivery. As a professor – responsible for carrying out teaching, curriculum development and academic review board/mentoring post graduate students. Served as a member of the National Technical Working Group – FGN Vision 2020 (ICT Thematic Committee) in 2009.

He was appointed as a member of the board – Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Agency – in 2009. In 2011 among other things, he successfully spearheaded his company to deploy and implement the provision of data center infrastructure and connectivity upgrade for the Presidential villa/State house, Abuja. In 2013, He was appointed a member of – Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment Sustainability Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group-NESG.

His varied career included a stint as a Sustainability in Project Management consultant for Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) – Ministry of Petroleum Resources. Responsible for establishing and maintaining sustainable project management standards and providing training to empower the project managers with knowledge, tools, and techniques to execute the restoration of Ogoni Land using sustainable methods.Founded the Center for System Leadership & Sustainability – CSLS to build systems thinking capacity to enhance our collective ecological intelligence.

A Global Educator/Consultant at DUKE Corporate Education -A subsidiary of Duke University (2015-2022) – Participated in the Discovery, Development, Design, and Delivery of corporate education in Africa He holds a BA degree and a Master of Information Technology with specialization in IT-Project Management from American InterContinental University. Completed a Doctorate in Business Administration – Leadership specialization from Walden University with dissertation research titled “Sustainability Efforts of One Multinational Oil Company in Niger Delta, Nigeria.

Fellows of Chartered Management Institute, UK- FCMI; Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) – FNIM; Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria – FIMC, International Society for Development and Sustainability, Japan – FISDS; American Academy of Project Management – FAAPM; Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria – FSM, a Certified Green Project Manager, and a member of Computer Professionals of Nigeria.
