Prof Sani Abubakar Mashi, Director-General/CEO NiMet

Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi is the Director-General / CEO Nigerian Meteorological Agency. He is the Permanent Representative of Nigeria and Member of Executive Council to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). He was previously the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Abuja. He is currently a Member Technical Advisory Council, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA). He also served as the Coordinator (Director-General) and Chief Executive of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council.

DG NiMet ADVOCATES BETTER USE OF CLIMATE INFORMATION IN AGRICULTURE

The Director General/ CEO NiMet, Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi, has advocated better use of climate information in agriculture if Nigeria is to rebuild the sector and make it sustainable. The DG/CEO made this recommendation, while presenting a paper titled Agrometeorological Service Delivery for Sustainable Agricultural Development in Nigeria to participants of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) No.39, 2017 Programme at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Plateau state recently.
