Dr. Anthony Anuforom has handed over to his successor, Professor Sani Abubakar Mashi as the Director General/CEO NiMet.

Prof Sani Abubakar Mashi, Director-General/CEO NiMet

Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi is the Director-General / CEO Nigerian Meteorological Agency. He is the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the World Metorological Organization (WMO). He was previously the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Abuja. He is currently a Member Technical Advisory Council, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA). He also served as the Coordinator (Director-General) and Chief Executive of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council.

NiMet COLLABORATES WITH WASCAL FOR CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is to collaborate with the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) on capacity development.

This was disclosed by the Director General/CEO of NiMet Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi when a team from WASCAL paid him a courtesy call in NiMet headquarters.
